What’s worth emailing about

Corrections. If something here is wrong, tell me. I’d rather fix an article than leave a bad number sitting on the internet, and readers catching things is how this gets more accurate. Corrections get made and the article says what changed.

Different results than mine. If you ran the same test on your own machine and got somewhere else, I want to hear it. One laptop is a small sample and I’m upfront about that in how I test.

Requests. If there’s a setting, tool, or problem you’ve been searching for and finding nothing useful on, send it over. Gaps in what’s already out there are the best reason to write something.

Business. Anything about the site itself goes to the same address. Worth knowing up front that nothing here is sponsored, and any commercial relationship would be disclosed on the article and in the affiliate disclosure before it ever went live.

If you’ve commented here and want a copy of your data or want it erased, email the same address and say which one you’re after. The full detail on what gets stored is in the privacy policy.

One thing I can’t help with

I can’t diagnose a laptop I’ve never seen. If your machine is doing something strange, the comments under the relevant article are a better place to ask, since other people reading it are dealing with the same hardware and will often spot it faster than I will.
